We are very pleased to announce the third MINIMUS sleepover, the minidorm. This will take place from Saturday July 12 th – 13 th 2008 at Bilton Grange School in Warwickshire. Bilton Grange, to the west of Birmingham, is set in a magnificent estate with plenty of room for children to play and is easily accessible both by road (M1/M45) and rail (Euston to Rugby)

ARRIVAL: Saturday AM, between 10.15-11.00

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

All meals and accommodation.

A full programme of activities, possibly including:

Mosaic making

Roman art

A Roman banquet in Roman costume

Computer sessions

Performing a Roman play

Music (with songs in Latin)

Latin teaching

Clay tablets

A Roman legionary display.

WHO WILL RUN THE SESSIONS?

Among the staff will be both Barbara Bell, the author of Minimus and Minimus 2, and her illustrator, Helen Forte. The rest of the staff will be drawn from highly experienced and enthusiastic teachers of Minimus, so parents and teachers are not expected to attend with their children!

DEPARTURE: The Minidorm will finish at 4.00pm on Sunday.

WHAT AGE CHILDREN CAN ATTEND?

Children should be within the 9-12 age range.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The course fee is £75, all inclusive.
